Case Study

The Toll Group is an Australian logistics company with operations in road, rail, sea, air and warehousing. It has three divisions, which are Global Express, Global Forwarding and Global Logistics.

Their distribution warehouse and office building within Dandenong Industrial Estate, Princes Hwy, Dandenong Sth was running with inefficient lighting:

  • Offices – Dual T8 Fluro / T-Bar / Halogen Downlights / Compact Fluro
  • Warehouse – Metal Halide High Bay / Dual T8 Fluro
  • Cool Room – Dual T8 Fluro

After an appraisal, Prolux identified that by installing new recommended LED lighting that a savings of over $10,000 p.a. could be achieved through the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Program and in addition an 86.1% reduction in energy consumption.

The new LED lighting installation consisted of upgrading to the following lights:

  • NOVA LED Panel Lights
  • STAR Downlights
  • Star Ceiling Panels
  • PHOENIX High Bays
  • JUNO LED Battens
  • VENUS Batten Lights

Prolux supplied, wired and installed the recommended LED lights, which will maintain the same or give greater light/lux levels to the offices and warehouse, while offering much greater efficiency and significantly less maintenance. Prolux removed all old light fittings from site for recycling and arranged the lighting rebate for the client.
