Australian Automotive Distribution (AAD) is the collaboration of Australian Truck & Auto Parts (ATAP), IBS Auto Solutions, Partco, Garrmax and Melbourne Clutch & Brake (MCB).

They specialise in the importation, manufacture, remanufacture and wholesale of quality brake, clutch, suspension, cooling, engine and service products for both passenger and commercial vehicles, Australia wide.

Their Melbourne headquarters located at Bliss Crt, Derrimut was running with inefficient lighting:

• Reception Canopy: Dual T8 Fluro
• Canopy Area: Metal Halide
• Warehouse: Metal Halide High Bays
• Offices: Dual T8 Fluro – T-Bar and Halogen Downlights

Maintaining these old globes can not only be costly but also dangerous through regularly changing and inspecting each individual fitting.

After an appraisal, Prolux identified that by installing new LED lighting that a savings of close to $28,000 p.a. could be achieved through the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Program, and in addition a 73.5% reduction in energy consumption.

The new LED lighting installation consisted of upgrading to the following lights:

• PHOENIX LED High Bays
• VENUS LED Batten Lights
• LED Batten Lights
• NOVA LED Panel Lights
• STAR LED Downlights: An SMD downlight that adopts a high lumen output with an even light spread. A perfect replacement to the halogen, compact fluorescent or metal halide downlights, using significantly less power.
