The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health is one of the largest and highly respected brain research centres in the world. Their focus and goals are to improve lives through the research of serious diseases including epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, motor neurone diseases, depression and addiction.
With Melbourne being Australia’s largest concentration of scientific research, development and business in the southern hemisphere, Florey was in need to expand from their head office in Parkville, branching out to new offices in North Melbourne.
Prolux were hands on with the demolition of four existing office suites, including the disconnection, ‘make safe’ of power and data, along with the relocation of the communications cabinet and two distribution boards.
All power, lighting, data, exit lights, emergency lighting and soft wiring requirements were supplied, wired and installed, with the electrical testing and commissioning carried out as per safety standards.
